Acer palmatum BENI KAWA

Beni kawa is a recent cultivar introduced by Greer Gardens, Oregon in 1987. It has many of the attributes of the ever popular SANGO KAKU and exhibits excellent coral red bark throughout the winter months. Bark turns a yellow color in the summer months and foliage is breaks as a mild green, turning yellow/green in the summer and yellow in the fall.
This tree seems to show a stronger tolerance to cold that the SANGO KAKU and it’s popularity is on the rise.
